In July 2017 our new Youth Connections site opened its doors in Broadmeadow. This site marks our first home in the Newcastle/Hunter Region, a very exciting prospect for us. It marks a major step forward in our breadth of NDIS service offerings.
Recently some great stories have been coming out of the Broadmeadow site about program participants and their successes.
First up are some excellent stories of program participants gaining independence through passing their Learners and Provisional Driver courses.
Jessica and Peter have been successful in obtaining their Provisional License’s.
Codie also obtained her Learner License.
Callan’s story shows his tremendous growth over three months while he completed work experience with Little Pantry Co, a café in Medowie. Little Pantry Co have now offered Callan part-time employment.
Peter has also successfully completed his Barista Course (see image below).
Some more great news out of Newcastle involve Alex, Jeremy and Matthew have moved out of home and into independent accommodation.
Eight lucky participants also got the chance to go on a holiday to the Gold Coast with the Youth Connections Broadmeadow team. Some great pictures from their trip can be seen below.
You can also view below an image of the new mural that the Broadmeadow participants have started on there back wall.
We love hearing these great stories out of the Broadmeadow site and it looks like even more exciting things are yet to happen in 2018.
